At Wattle Range Funerals we will help you to create a meaningful funeral based on your personal, cultural and financial needs. We understand the importance of creating the type of funeral you and your family wish to have, whilst keeping the cost within your financial means.

You can call our consultants and get a quote or alternatively we can post this information out to you. There are five main costs associated with funerals. The needs of every family do vary, for your convenience our fees are pre-determined to enable a fixed price.

Funeral Planning and Administration

This fee covers the cost of our carefully chosen and trained staff to provide a dignified and quality service to you. From the first contact with your professional funeral consultant dedicated to you and who has access to the total resources of our expert team, respecting and following your directions, providing you with up to date options in order for you to make informed decisions and thus creating a carefully prepared meaningful funeral.

Your consultant deals with the placement of news paper notices, dealing with all legal requirements relative to Births, Deaths and Marriages including obtaining the death certificate, liaison and co-ordination of all people involved, provision of required staff on the day of the service to take care of your family and your guests and the use of a hearse if required.

Transfer and Mortuary

If the transfer of the deceased is from Hospital, Nursing Home or Private Home within a distance of 100km the collection and transfer of the deceased is included in the professional fee. Distances beyond 100km (including interstate or international transfers) will incur a fee.

The next stage of this process is the preparation and care of your loved one in readiness for the funeral service, every consideration is given to preservation of dignity of the deceased whilst they are in our care, our principal embalmer is highly qualified and well respected within the industry.

Coffin or Casket

The choice of coffin or casket is a very personal one and our staff will answer all your questions about styles and construction, allowing you to make an informed choice.

Disbursements

These are fees charged by service providers that we pay on your behalf, which is then shown on your funeral account. We add no mark up to these fees, therefore what we pay to the provider is what you are charged. These services include:

  • Newspaper Notices
  • Floral tributes
  • Memorial Cards
  • Clergy/Celebrants
  • Musicians
  • Catering
  • Cremation Fees
  • Cemetery Fees
  • Death Certificates

An estimate of the funeral will be given to you at the time of the arrangement after all of your decisions are made. This estimate will be a comprehensive breakdown of the costs and generally the only estimate is that of the newspaper notices.
